Our MIND during Pandemic
Covid-19 pandemic is creating a chaotic world order. Billions of people are fearing about novel Corona virus. Just like our body needs protective measures, our mind needs them too. Here’s a letter to my mind amid its frustration and stress. I hope, I can touch my mind with care through these words.
Dear mind,
First of all I'm sorry. You're getting unnoticed these days. You may wonder what is happening in the world. You may thought, why can't I go to outside for getting a breeze, seeing the waves after waves from a beach, to sip a freshly brewed coffee from the nearby cafeteria.
You may wonder why am I so indulged in the Netflix series, one after another. The answer is, we are locked. Your body knows that we need to lock ourself inside for protection. But you, you are still figuring out what's happening.. Let me tell you our situation right now. We’re under a cognitive break. Some kind of declutter. You may get headache due to the keywords like, virus, transmission, social distancing, mask, sanitizer etc. At first, you’re ready to accept the reality and followed every rules. But, at some point, you are constantly making wishes that supports your free mind. But somehow, we are bounded. We are no more independent. During this period, you started to recollect all your bad moments in the past. You put those in an orbit and played it most of the time. Eventhough, you are breathing, you are living in the past cyclic events and do you know the the result? Angry, recurrent stress, deep frustration, suicidal thoughts and schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, in the extreme. These emotions are infrequent or didn’t exist before. But it seems significant now.
You just stop thinking. I know whatever you’re thinking right now is absolutely rotting your skill. So pause right there and listen to me. You have a beautiful past. Recreate and refurbish it through unique activities. Draw. Colour it. Make a frame. Sing. Dance. Bake. You are a good dreamer, so recollect those dreams and go for a dream journal(You will definitely find it hilarious after some years). Try to add new flavours on your tea - chamomile, peppermint, cardamom. Compliment yourself for stacking up your wardrobe perfectly. Instead of thinking negative words from others, try to visualize an escape plan for the robbers trapped in Bank of Spain. You have so many things to think, then why are you getting angry of being inside?
Don’t find a sideline place to fit in. Move ahead.Keep engaged. You need more downtime. Keep yourself ignite with something creative strikes. Wander through unconventional path and try to share the path with someone who recognize the beauty in you. For our better health, we need to follow the rules. You need to think about the world sufferings, we need to track the situations of every level people. Be still and be and it is. This time will also pass and you can freely breathe under the sky. Again.
Love,
Your well-wisher.
P.S. Dear mind, you matter.
