Dive into the Depth of Pain.
"I could hear the rumble of thoughts approaching me.." after a first sip of coffee, he continued, "the pain will conquer me, for sure." He was right. The way those thoughts embraced him the last time, it absolutely crashed his mind in million pieces and conquered his heart with fear. It went deep and explored the nature of his happiness and pierced it with needle-sharp insecurity. The pain altered the way he percieved the things from the world and he lost the self-insight to understand his emotions.
The pain, hurt and associated disturbing thoughts will certainly make you uncomfortable. The intensity of trauma one experiences may not be quantifiable and cannot be judged by other humans. When he poured out his insecurities one by one, she started to listen to him, instead of judging him.
She sat with him and continued, "let this pain be your transformative grief." He looked confused with her response and waited for more from her.
"In our mind, we have established the fact that, suffering is essential for a wounded heart. But how long? Should we live with the overcoat of pain that hit us a long back?" She continued.
"What else can I do...?" He doubtfully asked.
She gave him a look and continued, "Go near to the pain and spend time with it. You might feel fear at first, but don’t give up. Continue spending time with the pain until it becomes a known friend to you".
"Slowly hold the pain with your fingers. You might think you are holding onto the harshest thing in the universe, but keep holding. Now you can throw serious accusations at it - your melancholy, your depression, your sleepless nights, everything."
"Your mind might have witnessed the rarest thing, the unusual meeting of your heart with unusual guest, your pain. As they gradually progress with their conversation, all your organs will start to melt into it. Eyes might have gone red, throat may experience a large lump inside, shivering hands, shortness of breath and you might feel as if the earth is moving apart beneath your feet".
"After a while, you will get a sense that you are growing stronger, stronger than everything, stronger than your pain. An unfathomable power arises inside you, supporting all your dispersed organs and bringing them to stillness."
"You will experience all this if you give focused attention to your pain, instead of fearing it. Sit with yourself, for a while. Find peace inside you. If you are feeling restlessness or your thoughts delve into fear of missing out on the things happening outside, then you have to bring your heart back to your inner core. Make it steady, streamlined and flawless at its core.
" Even if chaos is pouring in outside world, tell your heart not to cross the inner core. Replace your pain with the element of peace, so that you can view beautiful scenes, even if your eyes are closed. The worthiness that you have believed in so far will come to your heart, as soon as you embrace your inner peace. "
"This is the moment of solitude and you will see more magic then. You may slowly find birds returning to their nest with food for their young ones, the sky will look into your eyes with a beautiful orange haze, the silhoutte of leaves will wave with the wind and stars will shine brighter than ever. Life will give you a beautiful sunset. Peace - this is the ultimate luxury and it will help you to beat the shadow of any past grief sleeping inside you." She sighed.
Both of them looked at each other to see the reflection of another and those eyes were holding the tears of solace.
